This piece was inspired by a dream I had in which an African woman was carrying a bucket of water. It was made in paper clay over an armature, and after baking in a kiln it was bronzed.
I studied painting and drawing at St Martin's School of Art and later concentrated on sculpture. My work is figurative and modelled in terracotta or cast in bronze resin. I have exhibited my sculpture at galleries in London and I am currently attending a sculpture class at the Mary Ward Centre in Queen Square WC1.
